TU Dortmund Summer Festival
On 9 July 2026, it's time again - TU Dortmund University's North Campus becomes a festival site and students and employees of TU Dortmund University celebrate the Summer Festival with friends and family in beautiful sunshine and a great atmosphere.
You can already find out here which bands will be performing on which stage, what international foods will be served, and some of the first highlights from the diverse program.
Review 2025
Between Emil-Figge-Straße 50 and “Straße der Ingenieure”, the institutions, faculties and student councils once again offered a wide range of activities. For example, guests of all ages were able to compete in an archaeology duel, try out various sports such as archery or bouldering or fly through a virtual logistics course as a drone with VR glasses.
The summer festival also had plenty of culinary delights to offer: Students sold international dishes from their home countries at their stands and made ice cream with liquid nitrogen. DJs, ensembles and live bands provided a party atmosphere, with professors, students and staff also performing on the two stages. Bollywood sounds and rousing rock & roll thrilled the audience during the performances of the Bollywood and Rock'n'Rookies dance groups from university sports. The cheerleading team also took the audience's breath away with acrobatic stunts. The traditional summer party was supported by the Association of Friends (Gesellschaft der Freunde, GdF), Sparkasse Dortmund and Studierendenwerk Dortmund.
